Accessibility
Working toward a site that holds up for everyone, assistive technology included.
Last updated: June 2026
Hume Health Corp wants humeband.uk and the Hume Health app to work well for everyone, including people using assistive technology. This page sets out where things stand and how to flag anything that isn't working properly.
Our Target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across humeband.uk. In practice, that covers things like:
- Meaningful alt text on images that carry information, not just decoration.
- Text-to-background contrast that stays readable throughout the site.
- Full keyboard access to menus, the mobile navigation, and interactive bits like the FAQ accordion.
- Semantic markup and ARIA labelling, so screen readers announce headings, buttons and page regions correctly.
- Layouts that hold together properly when text is resized or the page is zoomed in.
An Ongoing Job
We don't treat this as a box to tick once — the site evolves, and our accessibility work needs to keep pace with it. If you run into a barrier anywhere on humeband.uk or in the app, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
Reporting a Problem
If assistive technology trips up somewhere on the site, let us know. It helps if you can tell us:
- Which page or app screen the issue happened on
- A short description of what went wrong
- What assistive technology, browser or device you were using
We look into accessibility reports promptly, and anything getting in the way of browsing, learning about, or buying the product jumps to the front of the queue.
Where Our Control Ends
Some parts of humeband.uk, checkout in particular, run on third-party services. We choose vendors that take accessibility seriously, but we can't fully control how they've built their own components. If you hit a snag in one of these, tell us anyway — we'll push the vendor or find another way through for you.
