Refund & Returns
45 days to decide, free return postage, and a warranty that's actually worth something.
Last updated: June 2026
Buying a health gadget you can't try in a shop first is always a bit of a leap of faith. This page sets out exactly what happens if the Hume Band 2.0 isn't right for you.
A 45-Day Window
You've got 45 days from delivery to send it back for a full refund, for any reason, no explanation needed. That's well beyond the 14-day statutory cooling-off period required under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — we think that's not quite long enough to properly get a feel for a wearable, so we've extended it considerably.
The band doesn't need to be unworn or boxed up like new; we stand behind it even after normal use.
Starting a Return
- Get in touch with support through the Hume Health app or the email on your order confirmation, and let us know you'd like to return your order.
- A prepaid returns label lands in your inbox within 1 business day.
- Pack up the band, strap and charging cable — the original box isn't required.
- Drop the parcel off at any Royal Mail or courier drop-off point using the label provided.
- Once it's received and checked, your refund goes back to your original payment method — typically within 5–7 business days.
What You Get Back
The full price you paid, VAT included. If you added the 10-Year Warranty at checkout and you're returning the band itself, that add-on is refunded too, since it doesn't do anything on its own without a device to cover.
Who Covers Return Postage
We do. The prepaid returns label is free for any return within the 45-day window on orders placed directly through humeband.uk.
Worth Knowing
- This guarantee applies to orders placed directly with us. Bought through a third-party marketplace instead? Start with their return process, as we can't promise the same terms apply there.
- Refunds go back to whichever payment method was used at checkout — we're not able to redirect a refund elsewhere.
- Outside the 45-day window, a faulty unit may still be covered under warranty — see below — and this doesn't affect your separate statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Warranty Claims
Every Hume Band 2.0 carries a 1-year hardware warranty covering genuine manufacturing defects — sensor faults or charging issues under normal use, for instance. If you added the optional 10-Year Warranty, that cover runs the full decade from your original purchase date.
To make a claim, contact support with your order number and a short description of the issue. Most hardware problems are sorted with a replacement unit sent out at no charge.
Prefer to Swap Rather Than Return?
If it's simply a case of wanting a different strap size, mention that when you get in touch — we can often arrange a straight swap rather than a full return-and-reorder.
